Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar and Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev met with South Korea’s ambassador to Kazakhstan, Cho Tae-ik, to discuss ongoing cooperation and future prospects between the two nations.
The meeting focused on the successful implementation of joint investment projects in sectors such as mechanical engineering, information technology, and agriculture, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
“We highly value our strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea and the achievements we have reached through our joint efforts. The implementation of our partnership has enabled us to create new jobs, introduce innovations, and expand production capacities,” said Sklyar.
The South Korean ambassador expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan’s leadership for its continued support and cooperation. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, especially in various economic sectors, and congratulated Kazakhstan on its recent accession to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The ambassador also highlighted Kazakhstan’s role as a major player in the uranium industry and extended well wishes for the country's nuclear power plant development.
In closing, Sklyar thanked the ambassador for his contributions to the growth of Kazakh-Korean relations and wished him success in his future diplomatic endeavors.
