Kazakhstani Tennis Player Zarina Diyas Wins ITF Series Tournament in Japan

Famous Kazakhstani tennis player Zarina Diyas became the winner of the ITF W50 tournament in Japan, The Caspian Post informs via Zakon.kz.

The final took place in the city of Kurume, where our athlete, ranked 318th in the WTA world rankings, beat the tournament host, 27-year-old Japanese Ayano Shumizu, who is ranked 288th in the world.

Diyas defeated Shumica with a score of 6:4, 6:3.

"I finished the tournament in Japan with a victory - and, frankly, I couldn't have dreamed of a better final. Four weeks, many matches, many moments - ups, downs, struggle and growth. Thank you, Japan, for the experience, difficulties and memories. I'm going home with a heart full of joy," the Kazakh wrote on her social networks, commenting on the victory.
