Mongolian President to Visit Kazakhstan for High-Level Talks

Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan from April 20 to 23 at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During talks in Astana, the two leaders are expected to focus on expanding political dialogue and strengthening cooperation in trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian ties between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The visit comes as Astana prepares to host the Regional Environmental Summit (#RES2026) from April 22 to 24. The UN-backed platform aims to develop a shared regional vision for sustainable development in Central Asia and address pressing climate and environmental challenges.

Heads of state, prime ministers, and representatives of international organizations are expected to participate in the summit, underscoring its growing global relevance.

On April 22, President Tokayev will also chair a meeting of the Council of Heads of State - Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea, highlighting ongoing regional efforts to address ecological concerns linked to the Aral Sea basin.
