In a rare glimpse behind closed doors, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin were seen sharing an informal dinner in Moscow.

After arriving in Moscow on November 11, President Tokayev held informal talks with President Putin at the Kremlin - discussions that lasted more than two and a half hours. The relaxed meeting followed a warm official welcome that highlighted the close ties between the two neighboring nations, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

As a mark of special respect, Russian fighter jets and helicopters escorted President Tokayev’s aircraft upon its arrival. The ceremonial welcome at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport included a military orchestra and an honor guard, underscoring the significance of the visit.

President Tokayev’s state visit to Russia takes place from November 11 to 12, at the invitation of President Putin - a key diplomatic event aimed at deepening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia.
