Starlink Brings Fast, Reliable Internet to Kazakhstan

The Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry has announced that as of August 13, 2025, Starlink officially launched satellite internet services in Kazakhstan.

The service will provide residents nationwide with high-speed, reliable internet via Starlink’s constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, operated by SpaceX, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.

On June 12, 2025, the ministry and Starlink signed an agreement ensuring the company adheres to the Kazakh laws while delivering its services.

Starlink technology offers stable connectivity even in remote and hard-to-reach areas, broadening access to modern digital services for the population.

“Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency internet is now available in Kazakhstan!” the company declared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page.

Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev highlighted the joint efforts behind the launch:

“For the past year, we have been working to align the positions of Starlink with Kazakhstan’s government agencies and regulators. Today, Starlink has added Kazakhstan to its official coverage map. Special thanks to Elon Musk @elonmusk and the entire Starlink team @Starlink for their efficient work and collaboration - a truly dream team.”

Earlier, Elon Musk announced that Starlink had also received a license to operate in Somalia.
