Turkish companies have launched nearly 100 investment projects worth around $4 billion in Kazakhstan, highlighting the rapidly expanding economic partnership between Astana and Ankara.
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan reviewed the progress of joint investment initiatives during high-level talks, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
Among the major projects, Miryıldız plans to build a mining and processing plant in the Abai region, while İskefe Holding is preparing to launch gelatin production in Almaty. Orzax Group is establishing a modern dietary supplements facility in the Turkistan region, and S Sistem Lojistik, together with Kazpost, is developing a logistics hub at Aktobe International Airport. Tiryaki Holding is also building a deep wheat and pea processing plant in Astana.
The projects are expected to attract more than $920 million in foreign direct investment and create over 3,100 jobs across Kazakhstan.
Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin said Turkish businesses have already implemented around 100 projects in Kazakhstan in sectors ranging from industry to logistics. Another 50 joint projects worth nearly $4 billion are currently under development, underscoring the high level of strategic investment cooperation between the two countries.
The announcement came as Tokayev and Erdoğan continue to deepen bilateral ties during the Turkish president’s official visit to Kazakhstan.
