In the first six months of 2025, Kazakhstan significantly boosted its imports of sweet beverages from Turkmenistan, increasing 6.6 times to reach 942,700 liters.
This remarkable growth stands out as one of the most notable rises in Kazakhstan’s import profile, highlighting a growing demand for Turkmen products among Kazakh consumers, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
Bilateral trade between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan remained steady and strong, with total trade turnover hitting $230.3 million in January-June 2025, nearly matching the figures from the same period last year.
Kazakh exports to Turkmenistan showed significant growth, increasing by 46.3 per cent to a total volume of 160,500 tons. Major export commodities included:

Pasta
Chocolate
Vegetable oil
Cosmetics and personal care products
Smartphones
Laptops and tablets
Instant coffee
Imports from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan also saw a strong surge, rising 2.5 times in volume to 157,000 tons. Key import items were:
