Chinese President to Make State Visit to Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev has announced that Kyrgyzstan is preparing for a state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2026.

Kulubaev made these remarks at a press conference, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Reflecting on 2025, Kulubaev described it as a fruitful year for the Kyrgyzstan-China relations, highlighting numerous high-level exchanges, including a state visit by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to China. He noted that bilateral relations currently stand at a high level, rating them 11 out of 10.

Preparations for Xi Jinping’s upcoming visit are already underway, with officials aiming for a comprehensive agenda designed to further deepen political, economic, and cultural cooperation. Kulubaev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan intends to continue its proactive approach to strengthening ties with China, ensuring long-term, strategic collaboration between the two nations.
