High-Level Talks Between Kyrgyzstan, China Focus on Strengthening Political and Economic Bonds

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has held a high-level meeting with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China’s National People’s Congress and Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation in politics, economics, and humanitarian exchange, with particular emphasis on enhancing interparliamentary dialogue.

President Japarov highlighted the robust development of the Kyrgyzstan-China relations, describing the current phase as a historic high point of engagement under the framework of a comprehensive strategic partnership, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

He warmly recalled his state visit to China in February 2025 and his June meeting with President Xi Jinping in Astana, noting the mutual respect and productive outcomes that continue defining ties between the two countries.

Conveying greetings from President Xi, Zhao Leji commended the socio-economic reforms under Japarov’s leadership, which have accelerated national development and modernization in Kyrgyzstan.

President Japarov reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to deepening cooperation with China in a spirit of mutual trust, understanding, and support, expressing confidence that the partnership would continue growing stronger.
