Kazakhstan Earthquake Shakes Neighboring Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz Institute of Seismology has confirmed that an earthquake originating in Kazakhstan was felt across the border in Kyrgyzstan.

The seismic event occurred at 3:29 p.m. (GMT+6) on July 8, with the epicenter located approximately 67 kilometers northeast of Talas city in Kazakhstan, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.

Following the main tremor, aftershocks registering a magnitude of 3.5 were reported in the Talas region of Kyrgyzstan, causing concern among local residents.

Authorities continue monitoring the situation and assessing any potential damage, urging people in affected areas to stay alert and follow safety guidelines.
