Kyrgyz President Arrives in Tajikistan Ahead of Key Central Asia–Russia Summit

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has arrived in Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, at the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon.

Upon landing at Dushanbe International Airport, President Japarov was greeted by Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda and other senior Tajik officials, marking the start of his diplomatic visit, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Over the coming days, he is slated to participate in the 2nd Central Asia-Russia Summit as well as attend the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of State Council meeting.

Officials expect the visit to conclude with the signing of several pivotal agreements designed to deepen cooperation both within the CIS framework and under the Central Asia-Russia format, signaling continued regional integration and collaboration.
