Kyrgyz President Hails Azerbaijan-Armenia Joint Declaration as Key to Stability in South Caucasus

At the 12th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Gabala, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has emphasized the significance of the joint declaration signed by Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington, describing it as an important milestone toward ensuring security and stability in the South Caucasus.

President Japarov noted that the OTS Security Council recently held a high-level session in Kyrgyzstan aimed at strengthening regional cooperation on security issues, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

“We are working on mechanisms that will enable the Turkic world to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging challenges,” he stated.

Highlighting broader regional and global security concerns, Japarov drew particular attention to Afghanistan, underscoring Kyrgyzstan’s ongoing humanitarian support and engagement.

“We have never turned away from Afghanistan-related issues and continue to provide humanitarian aid. Meanwhile, the situation in Gaza remains deeply concerning. We hope that its resolution will comply fully with international law,” he added.
