President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, has signed a decree introducing a moratorium on business inspections until the end of 2026.
The move applies to checks by law enforcement and other authorized government bodies, aiming to ease pressure on entrepreneurs and improve the investment climate, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
However, certain inspections remain allowed, including those:
Related to criminal or civil court proceedings
Requested by entrepreneurs themselves
Requested by foreign government agencies
Initiated by individuals or legal entities
Triggered by specific violations of the law
Customs control
Tax audits under the existing tax moratorium
Conducted by the National Bank
Related to civil aviation
The decree also establishes personal accountability for heads of government agencies to ensure compliance with the moratorium.
Authorities say the measure is intended to prevent abuses during inspections, reduce bureaucratic pressure, and create a more business-friendly environment in Kyrgyzstan.
