The protocol from the previously held meeting on the construction of a laboratory in Bishkek, designed for the export of food products from Kyrgyzstan to China, was signed in Beijing, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported on Friday.
The protocol of the meeting was signed on the Kyrgyz side by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic - Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, on the Chinese side - by Deputy Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency Hu Zhangliang, The Caspian Post reports citing Kyrgyz media.
In accordance with the provisions of the exchange of notes between the Government of China and the Government of Kyrgyzstan dated May 3, 2017, the Government of China has undertaken to study the feasibility of implementing the project to build a laboratory for inspection and quarantine of organisms and food products in Kyrgyzstan.
Under this agreement, project teams of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Design conducted relevant research work in Kyrgyzstan in 2017, 2018 and 2024.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Administration of International Cooperation and Development of China have reached an agreement on a summary of the technical results developed during the joint discussions between the Chinese project team and the Kyrgyz side in the process of studying the potential for implementing this project.
The design will be carried out on the basis of Chinese technical standards and construction regulations, taking into account local characteristics, national standards and legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The costs associated with the implementation of the above-mentioned work by the Chinese side will be covered by funds provided by the Chinese government in the form of assistance.
