Kyrgyzstan and Iran Explore Future Cooperation Opportunities

Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, met with an Iranian delegation led by Deputy First Vice President for International Affairs and Regional Cooperation, Ali Najafi Khoshroudi, according to the Cabinet of Ministers.

The parties discussed a range of issues of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.

Kasymaliev confirmed the readiness to develop bilateral relations with Iran, noting the importance of the visit of the Iranian delegation.

Ali Najafi Khoshroudi emphasized the prospects for cooperation, especially in the context of Iran's status as an observer state in the EAEU. He invited the Kyrgyz side to the international exhibition "Iran Expo 2025" and proposed to hold a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission.

The sides considered priority areas of interaction and expressed interest in strengthening partnership at the bilateral and multilateral levels. The delegation's visit took place within the framework of the agreements reached at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty.
