The Kyrgyz Central Commission on Elections and Referenda (CEC) has accredited 29 international observers for the upcoming snap elections to the Jogorku Kenesh (Supreme Council).
The observers include representatives from the CIS Observer Mission, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, and staff from the Belarusian and Russian embassies in Kyrgyzstan. All observers will receive standard identification documents, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The snap elections follow the self-dissolution of Parliament on September 25, 2025, and a decree by President Sadyr Japarov setting the vote for November 30. Kyrgyzstan currently has over 4.28 million registered voters, with 100 polling stations abroad, including seven in Kazakhstan-Astana, Almaty (2), Atyrau, Karaganda, Shymkent, and Taraz.
Earlier, the Kyrk Uuz party withdrew from the race, marking a significant shift in the political landscape ahead of the elections.
