Kyrgyzstan Expands Social Infrastructure with Belarusian Support

Kyrgyzstan is actively expanding its social infrastructure with the support of Belarusian construction technologies and materials.

The announcement was made during the BUDEXPO International Architectural and Construction Exhibition, where Talantbek Imanakun uulu, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing, and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan, outlined the country’s infrastructure priorities and areas of international cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

He emphasized the value of bilateral engagement in sharing experience and innovations, and invited Belarusian experts to attend a similar construction and architecture forum planned in Kyrgyzstan.

“The construction sector in Kyrgyzstan has grown significantly in recent years, becoming one of the key contributors to national GDP,” said Imanakun uulu. He noted that 609 social infrastructure facilities-including schools, hospitals, stadiums, and airports-are currently under construction, reflecting the sector's pivotal role in the country’s economic modernization.

The deputy minister highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s particular interest in Belarusian construction expertise and materials, which are being evaluated for integration into ongoing projects. He shared that Kyrgyz representatives had visited several Belarusian facilities, such as ceramic tile factories, to assess production standards and explore supply partnerships.

A memorandum of cooperation is expected to be signed soon, enabling direct collaboration between Kyrgyz construction entities and Belarusian manufacturers. The agreement is designed to accelerate project implementation timelines and ensure timely access to quality materials for infrastructure development.
