Kyrgyzstan Holds International Water and Mountains Conference

Bishkek is hosting the international conference Waters, Mountains and Glaciers of Kyrgyzstan: a Sustainable Future on International Mountain Day.

The event brings together government officials, scientists, ecologists, and international experts to discuss water resource management, glacier conservation, and sustainable climate dialogue, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Key attendees include Deputy Ministers Almaz Jeenaliev and Almaz Musaev, National University Rector Dogdurbek Chontoev, and Chairwoman of the Green Energy Public Foundation Anara Sultangaziyeva. Kyrgyzstan has previously promoted the mountain agenda at COP30 in Brazil, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability.
