In January 2025, Kyrgyzstan's foreign and mutual trade volume totaled 983.8 million US dollars, reflecting a 17.8% decrease compared to January 2024.
This was announced by Zainidin Zhumaliev, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistics Committee, during a briefing in Bishkek, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
According to him, export deliveries amounted to 142.2 million US dollars and decreased by 24.7% compared to January 2024. Import receipts decreased by 16.5% compared to January 2024, amounting to 841.6 million US dollars. In the structure of trade turnover, exports accounted for 14.5%, imports - 85.5%.
"In the total volume of trade turnover of the republic, mutual trade with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union accounted for 31.1%, including 35.8% in exports and 30.7% in imports.
The volume of mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and the member states of the EAEU in January 2025 amounted to 306.1 million US dollars and decreased by 0.8% compared to January 2024. Of the EAEU member states, the largest share of the republic's mutual trade was with Russia (65%) and Kazakhstan (33.1%)," he said.
Zhumaliev added that foreign trade with third countries (outside the EAEU) in the total volume of trade turnover of the republic amounted to 68.9%, including 64.2% in exports and 69.7% in imports. The volume of foreign trade with third countries (outside the EAEU) amounted to 677.7 million US dollars and decreased by 23.8% compared to January 2024.
