The US government has delivered a new shipment of humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan, reaffirming its support for the country’s social sector and vulnerable communities.
The handover ceremony took place in Bishkek and was organized by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration, The Caspian Post informs Kyrgyz media.
The event was attended by US Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Lesslie Viguerie and Aliza Soltonbekova, Kyrgyz First Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration.
As part of the assistance, the US. diplomatic mission presented a certificate for the delivery of approximately 29 tons of dry lentil mix, which will be distributed to state-run social care facilities throughout Kyrgyzstan.
Officials from both sides emphasized that the donation reflects the strong partnership between the US and Kyrgyzstan in advancing humanitarian support and social protection. The lentil mix will contribute to improving food security and nutritional support for people in need, including children, the elderly, and people with disabilities housed in care institutions.
