According to the Central Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, Kyrgyzstan's state budget recorded a cash surplus of 93 billion 407 million soms from January to September this year, equating to 7.5% of GDP, as informed by the National Statistical Committee.
State budget revenues, including proceeds from the sale of non-financial assets, showed significant growth, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
Compared to the same period last year, revenues increased by 138,077.9 million soms, or 41.3%, and reached 472,070.8 million soms, representing 38.1% of GDP.
State budget expenditures, including expenditures on the acquisition of non-financial assets, also increased. From January to September, they increased by 92,496.8 million soms (+32.3%) to 378,663.8 million soms, or 30.5% of GDP.
The positive budget balance is explained by the outpacing growth of revenue relative to expenditure and the strengthening of the state's fiscal position this year.
