Kyrgyzstan Secures 1.1 Billion kW/h from Kazakhstan’s Solar and Wind Energy Plants

The Electric Stations company, responsible for major hydroelectric power plants in Kyrgyzstan, imported 1.1 billion kW/h of electricity from Kazakhstan's Financial Center for Support of Renewable Energy Sources between January and November 2024, according to a report by Samruk-Energo, The Caspian Post reports citing Akipress.

The Center is a company under the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, which purchases and sells electricity generated by renewable energy facilities.

The volume of electricity of 1.1 billion kW/h corresponds to approximately 7% of Kyrgyzstan's annual consumption for 2024.
