Kyrgyzstan Secures Two Medals at Prestigious IBSA Para-Judo Tournament in Egypt

Kyrgyzstan’s para-judo team earned international recognition as two of its athletes secured bronze medals at the IBSA Judo Grand Prix, held in Giza, Egypt on August 18-19.

Competing in the under-52 kg weight category, Ferdauza Ubarikova and Aibike Ulanbek kyzy both delivered strong performances, securing third-place finishes, The Caspian Post informs, citing Kyrgyz media.

The IBSA Judo Grand Prix is regarded as one of the most important events on the para-judo calendar, serving as a qualifying stage for the Paralympic Games. Athletes not only gain valuable international experience but also collect crucial ranking points and complete official classification requirements for future competitions.
