Kyrgyzstan to Open Central Asia’s Largest Stadium as Azattyk Arena Nears Completion

Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Public Utilities Talant Imanakun uulu has said that Kyrgyzstan is preparing to unveil the region’s biggest sports venue as the Azattyk Arena nears completion.

Built under the supervision of the Presidential Administration, the state-of-the-art stadium will hold 51,000 spectators, making it the largest arena in Central Asia, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Imanakun uulu highlighted that the project is more than just a stadium:

Parking for over 2,000 cars

Premium boutiques from global brands

Business centers and food courts

A modern entertainment and service zone surrounding the venue

“All elements are included in the project. The opening is scheduled for August 2026, and the arena is expected to host the Nomad Games,” the deputy minister said.

Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan is also launching Central Asia’s largest industrial center, underscoring the rapid development boom across the region.
