President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov received on Wednesday Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ihlas Holding Joint-Stock Company (Republic of Turkiye) Ahmet Mujahid Oren.
The issues of implementing joint projects in the energy sector with the participation of Turkish investment companies were discussed, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kyrgyz media.
Particular attention was paid to the development of green energy, the construction of large hydropower facilities and strengthening business ties between the countries.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that favorable conditions are currently being created in Kyrgyzstan for investors interested in developing green energy facilities.
Earlier, following the state visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on December 5 last year, a framework agreement was signed between the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and OJSC Central Asian Investment Holding on the implementation of a project for the construction and operation of hydro power plants.
Thus, Ihlas Holding JSC established Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC for the purpose of implementing projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Sadyr Zhaparov also said that he is aware of the completion of research work on the sites of the proposed construction of the Alabuga HPP, Karabulun HPP-1, Karabulun HPP-2 in the territory of the Jalal-Abad region by Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC together with the Kyrgyzhydroproject Institute.
In this regard, the President noted that this is one of the major investment projects using innovative technical solutions.
During the meeting, the issue of implementing the project to build TPP-2 in Bishkek was also discussed. Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that after the commissioning of the new thermal power plant in 2028, a significant improvement in the environmental situation in the capital is expected.
"The project envisages the construction of modern power units, the installation of new equipment, the development of related infrastructure, as well as the modernization of heat and power supply systems. The gas pipeline project requires special attention - its implementation should be as safe as possible for city residents," the head of state noted.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ihlas Holding JSC Akhmet Mujahid Oren confirmed the company's readiness to begin implementing the designated projects.
"Today, our company is officially represented in the Kyrgyz Republic. We consider projects in the field of hydropower and thermal power engineering as strategically important and a priority. We are confident that their implementation will become the basis for sustainable development of the country's energy sector and create conditions for subsequent investment initiatives," said Ahmet Mujahid Oren. He particularly noted that the company positions itself as a domestic investor acting in strict accordance with national interests. He also added that all steps taken are aimed at creating sustainable and long-term value for the state and citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic. At the end of the meeting, President Sadyr Zhaparov proposed developing cooperation in the field of personnel training, advanced training of specialists and exchange of experience. He emphasized that such interaction will bring mutual benefit and will contribute to the successful implementation of joint projects.
