OSCE Chief Heads to Kyrgyzstan for Key Talks on Regional Cooperation

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Secretary General Feridun Hadi Sinirlioğlu is set to visit Kyrgyzstan on March 24-25, signaling a renewed push to deepen ties and address evolving regional challenges.

During the high-level visit, Sinirlioğlu will meet top officials, including Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev, to review current cooperation and explore new opportunities across political, economic, environmental, and humanitarian areas, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The agenda is expected to focus heavily on pressing regional issues-from Central Asia’s growing integration efforts to modern security threats-while identifying new pathways for collaboration under the OSCE framework.

A long-standing partner since 1992, Kyrgyzstan continues to play an active role within the OSCE. The organization’s Programme Office in Bishkek remains central to on-the-ground initiatives, supporting border security, anti-corruption reforms, and efforts to counter transnational risks.

Recent cooperation has included election monitoring-most notably the November 2025 parliamentary vote-alongside initiatives to boost small and medium-sized businesses and strengthen border management capacities.
