European Commission Greenlights 19th Sanctions on Russia

The European Commission has formally approved its 19th sanctions package targeting Russia.

European Commission Chief Spokesperson Paula Pinho announced that the Commission had approved a new sanctions package against Russia, marking the 19th such package, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

Pinho added that European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, will release a joint statement detailing the new sanctions later.
