Kazakh President to Visit Uzbekistan

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced a series of important international engagements scheduled for the remainder of the year, including a speech at the United Nations General Assembly’s anniversary session in New York.

In his address, Tokayev shared details about his upcoming engagements, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

“By the end of the year, I will visit Russia and Uzbekistan. We are also preparing to host the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan in Astana. Meetings and negotiations with the heads of a number of Asian and European countries are also planned,” Tokayev said.

The president also confirmed that he will speak from the UN podium.

“In the near future, I plan to deliver a speech at the anniversary session of the General Assembly in New York, where I will present Kazakhstan’s view of the international situation, including proposals on reforming the United Nations,” he added.
