Russia and Turkmenistan's Strategic Partnership Continues to Grow - PM

The relationship between Russia and Turkmenistan has been developing steadily which meets the two countries’ interests, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said in a letter to Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow on the occasion of Nowruz.

"On behalf of the Russian government and myself, I cordially congratulate you on Nowruz. I am pleased to note the progressive development of the Russian-Turkmen relationship in the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and strategic partnership," Mishustin said, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.

"I am confident that further deepening of practical cooperation fully meets the interests of Russia and Turkmenistan," the Russian premier said in his message.

The senior Russian official wished Berdimuhamedow good health and new successes in his responsible work, as he extended wishes of wealth and happiness to all Turkmen citizens.

Turkmenistan held festive events to celebrate the ancient holiday, marking the arrival of spring, on March 21-22. A special resolution of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) declared March 21 as International Nowruz Day.
