Russia, Egypt Discuss Nuclear Power Plant Construction

Construction of the first nuclear power plant in Egypt and creation of the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal area were among topics in the telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Kremlin’s press service said.

Leaders of the two countries discussed "the progress in implementation of major joint projects, including construction of the Egypt’s first El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant and creation of the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal area," the Kremlin said, The Caspian Post reports, citing Russian media.

"Current issues of developing bilateral cooperation in trade-economic, agricultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed in detail," the Kremlin’s press service noted.
