Ukraine’s Security Service Strikes Russian Oil Infrastructure, Disrupts Fuel Supply

Head of Ukraine’s Security Service Vasyl Malyuk revealed that since the start of 2025, the Security Service has carried out a series of successful attacks on oil production and refining facilities in Russia.

Malyuk made these remarks during a joint briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.

He noted that Ukrainian operations have destroyed 48 per cent of Russia’s Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems, which were heavily used to counter Ukraine’s long-range drones.

The Security Service has reportedly conducted nearly 160 strikes on Russian rear oil facilities this year. In September and October alone, 20 sites were targeted, including six refineries, two oil terminals, three oil depots, and nine pumping stations.

These operations have caused a shortage of over 20 per cent of oil products in Russia’s domestic market, halted 37 per cent of refining capacity, and created fuel shortages in 57 regions, prompting an export ban on gasoline through the end of the year.
