A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit the Türkiye-Syria border region on Wednesday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

The tremor was felt across several provinces in southern Türkiye, including Malatya, Adana and Gaziantep, as residents reported shaking near the border region, The Caspian Post reports, citing TurkiyeToday.
