Unidentified drones hit the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar territory, sparking continuous explosions for around 30 minutes.
The facility, one of Russia’s largest, has faced repeated attacks in recent months, producing gasoline and diesel for both civilian use and the military, The Caspian Post informs via Ukrainian media.
The refinery processes over six million tons of crude oil annually and has been targeted by Ukrainian strikes in February, August, and September, which previously caused fires at various units.
The latest blasts occurred amid a broader wave of drone activity across Russia and occupied territories. Explosions were also reported in Saratov and Crimea. By morning, Ukraine’s Armed Forces confirmed successful strikes on a Saratov refinery, a UAV storage site at Saky airfield, and multiple other Russian military facilities.
