Russia carried out a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine's capital Kyiv on November 25 early morning, hitting residential neighborhoods across multiple districts and injuring at least six people.
Emergency services said the strikes once again targeted civilian areas, causing widespread damage to homes and essential infrastructure, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
The Kyiv State Emergency Service released dramatic images and videos showing shattered apartments, collapsed walls, and rescuers working through piles of debris.
In the Pecherskyi district, a 22-story apartment building was struck around the 4th and 5th floors, heavily damaging parts of the 4th, 5th, and 7th levels. A fire that ignited on the 5th floor was quickly brought under control. One resident has been rescued so far, and crews continue clearing debris as they search for others.
Another strike in the Dniprovskyi district hit a nine-story building, damaging the 6th and 7th floors and sparking a fire that threatened to spread before being extinguished. Rescuers saved eight people, while four more injured residents sought medical help independently.
Elsewhere in Kyiv, a two-story building was hit without triggering a fire, and in the Darnytskyi district, missile debris landed in an open area, posing no direct threat to civilians.
Emergency teams remain on-site across the city, working to stabilize damaged structures, assist the injured, and clear rubble. Authorities are urging residents to follow safety instructions and stay alert for official updates.
Russian forces also struck several areas of the wider Kyiv region overnight. In Bila Tserkva, a 14-year-old girl was injured and a residential building was damaged. The attack on the capital and surrounding areas involved Shahed drones and multiple types of missiles, marking another intense escalation in Russia’s overnight strike campaign.
