More than 50 villages in Russia's Dagestan region have been cut off from the outside world after heavy rainfall disrupted transport links across the republic, according to the republic's Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure.
The ministry said that, as of 11:00 a.m. Moscow time on July 10, transport access to 56 settlements in eight districts had been temporarily interrupted due to the severe weather, The Caspian Post reports.
The most difficult situation has been reported in the Charodinsky district, where a landslide forced the closure of a section of the Tsurib-Archib road, cutting off transport access to 18 villages.
