Russia has carried out a large-scale drone attack on Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, wounding six civilians, including a 10-year-old girl.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, said Russian forces targeted nine settlements using 18 Geran-2 drones, an FPV drone, and six other unidentified drones, The Caspian Post informs via Ukrainian media.
The city of Bohodukhiv suffered the heaviest damage. The injured included men aged 18 and 49, women aged 33, 47, and 53, and a young girl. A 79-year-old man was also treated following a prior attack in Nechvolodivka.
The strikes damaged homes, apartment buildings, a farm, and critical infrastructure, including railway and power facilities. Nearly 8,300 residents in the Barvinkove community remain without electricity.
In Chuhuiv, a private home and a health resort were destroyed, while in Lozova, railway infrastructure was hit, disrupting regional train services. Authorities said 153 people sought refuge at an evacuation center in Lozova, with 43 still sheltering there.
Across Ukraine, officials reported 135 drones launched overnight, including Shahed and Gerbera models. Air defense units intercepted 108, but several still reached their targets, causing fires and widespread power outages.
