Russia's Penza Village Blaze Claims Three Lives, One Rescued

Three people died in a private house fire in the village of Lunino, Penza Region, Russia, while one man was rescued.

The fire broke out on Sadovaya Street on January 7 at 01:37 (GMT+3), The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

A 60-square-meter log house was completely destroyed. The rescued man is 40 years old. During firefighting operations, the bodies of a 57-year-old woman and two men aged 48 and 38 were found.

Three fire trucks and seven emergency personnel were involved in extinguishing the blaze. Preliminary reports indicate that the fire was caused by careless handling of fire.

Authorities continue investigating the incident and remind residents to exercise caution with open flames.
