Russian Drone Attack Kills 4 in Ukraine's Kharkiv

A Russian drone strike on a residential home in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region has killed three small children and a man, in one of the deadliest recent attacks on civilians in the area.

The strike hit a private house in the city of Bohodukhiv, sparking a fire and causing severe structural damage, The Caspian Post reports via Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov's message on Telegram.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene to conduct search-and-rescue operations and provide medical assistance.

Authorities later confirmed that two one-year-old boys and a two-year-old girl were killed in the blast, along with a 34-year-old man who was inside the home at the time. Two women were injured, including a pregnant woman and an elderly resident. Both are currently receiving medical treatment.

The Kharkiv region has endured repeated aerial and artillery attacks in recent days as fighting intensifies near frontline areas. Earlier this week, officials reported another strike in Bohodukhiv that claimed the lives of a child and his mother. Continued shelling has also damaged energy infrastructure, leading authorities to declare a state of emergency in parts of the region.

Ukrainian officials say civilian targets remain at risk, with a vehicle delivering humanitarian aid also reportedly struck earlier this week. As hostilities persist, the security situation in Kharkiv remains highly volatile.
