Ukrainian Drone Strikes Hit Russia’s Black Sea Coast

A wave of drone attacks launched by Ukraine has struck key locations along Russia’s Black Sea coast, including the port city of Novorossiysk and the industrial hub of Tuapse, leaving at least one person dead.

In Novorossiysk, officials said a drone hit a residential apartment building, causing extensive damage and a confirmed fatality. The impact triggered fires across several districts and led to temporary power outages as emergency crews worked to evacuate residents and contain the blaze, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.

At the same time, a separate wave of drones targeted a major oil refinery and export terminal in Tuapse. Multiple explosions were reported at the facility, followed by a large fire that spread across parts of the industrial site.

The Russian Ministry of Defence said more than 100 drones were intercepted over southern regions and the Black Sea. However, it acknowledged that debris and direct strikes still caused damage to both civilian infrastructure and energy facilities.
