A roundtable discussion titled "Uzbekistan - Azerbaijan: Cooperation Based on Mutual Trust and Brotherhood" was held at the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Tashkent, on the occasion of People’s Friendship Day.

Members of the Youth Parliament, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and employees of cultural and educational institutions attended the event, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.

Deputy Director of the center, Nadir Alimirzayev, stressed that thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries, relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, which have a long history, are developing in the spirit of high trust and brotherhood.

As noted, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan cooperate fruitfully not only in the political and economic spheres, but also in such areas as education, culture, science, and youth policy. Members of the Youth Parliament emphasized the importance of engaging the younger generation in bilateral relations, implementing joint projects and research, and enhancing cooperation in youth policy, education, culture, and art.
