Azerbaijan's FK Qarabağ Stun Chelsea with 2–2 Draw in Champions League Thriller

Azerbaijan’s FK Qarabağ delivered a remarkable performance at home, holding English giants Chelsea to a 2-2 draw in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League league phase.

The match, played at Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku, saw Chelsea take an early lead in the 16th minute through Moises Caicedo, The Caspian Post reports.

However, Qarabağ fought back impressively, scoring twice before halftime to turn the game around. Leandro Andrade netted the equalizer in the 29th minute, and Marko Janković converted a penalty in the 39th minute to put the Azerbaijani side ahead 2-1 at the break.

Chelsea managed to rescue a point when Alejandro Garnacho scored in the 53rd minute, leveling the match at 2-2.

After four matches, Qarabağ have collected seven points, placing them 13th among the 36 clubs in the league phase - a strong showing for the Azerbaijani champions on Europe’s biggest stage.
