Azerbaijani athletes achieved an unprecedented milestone in 2025 by winning a total of 2,113 medals, marking a record-breaking result for the country’s sports sector.

The announcement was made during a ceremony held by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Youth and Sports to review the outcomes of the year, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

It was noted that 30 percent of the secured medals were gold.
