Azerbaijani Wrestler Becomes European Champion in U17 Event

Azerbaijan’s Greco-Roman wrestling team has delivered a strong performance at the U17 European Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria, securing a total of six medals.

Ali Javadli, competing in the 45kg category, dominated his final match to win the gold medal, The Caspian Post reports.

Meanwhile, Huseyn Mustafazade (51kg) and Zohrab Safarov each secured bronze medals after competitive bouts.

Overall, the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman team concluded the tournament with 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The team accumulated 118 points, which placed them third in the overall team standings.
