Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Eldaniz Azizli (55kg) claimed a bronze medal at the World Wrestling Championships held in Zagreb, Croatia, further cementing his legacy in the sport.

Azizli delivered a dominant performance in the bronze medal match, defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Ulan Uulu with a decisive 9-0 score, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation.

This victory marks his seventh career medal at the senior World Championships - an impressive tally that includes 4 gold and 3 bronze medals.

With this latest triumph, Eldaniz Azizli becomes the most decorated wrestler in the history of Azerbaijani wrestling at the World Championships, setting a new national record.
