FlyDubai to Launch Daily Flights Between Dubai and Tajikistan’s Dushanbe From September

The Tajik Civil Aviation Agency has announced that the Emirati airline FlyDubai will begin operating daily passenger flights on the Dubai-Dushanbe-Dubai route starting September 3, 2025.

The airline currently offers three flights per week but will increase service to seven flights weekly following a directive from Tajik authorities aimed at improving air travel accessibility, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tajik media.

“This move is expected to ease travel for citizens of Tajikistan and other countries, help stabilize or reduce ticket prices, and support the growth of the national tourism industry,” the agency said in a statement. FlyDubai has been urged to ensure affordable pricing for passengers as part of the expansion.

During a press conference, Civil Aviation Agency Director Khabibullo Nazarzoda said that ticket prices are expected to drop in the near future due to discounts granted to airlines for ground handling and air navigation services in Tajikistan.

The announcement follows the Tajikistan-UAE Investment Forum recently held in Dushanbe, where both countries signed a bilateral air services agreement aimed at expanding cooperation in passenger and cargo transportation. The deal allows national carriers to operate connecting flights via the UAE to destinations around the world.

As part of the forum, Nazarzoda held talks with UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri who also serves as Chairman of the UAE Federal Civil Aviation Authority. The two discussed enhancing aviation ties, including the potential launch of new air routes, such as Dushanbe-Sharjah and Dushanbe-Abu Dhabi.
