Tajikistan is expanding its economic and energy cooperation with China and neighboring Central Asian countries through a series of new agreements aimed at boosting trade, investment, and technology exchange.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with associations of chambers of commerce and industry from China, Mongolia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan during the International Energy Forum held in Tacheng, China, from June 23 to 25, The Caspian Post reports via khovar.tj.
Representatives of the Tajik chamber and domestic businesses also reached agreements with foreign partners on cooperation and the introduction of modern technologies in the energy sector.
The momentum continued at the Eurasian International EXPO-2026 in Urumqi, Xinjiang, where 16 Tajik companies representing industries including energy, pharmaceuticals, medicine, construction, and furniture manufacturing showcased their products and explored new business opportunities.
During the exhibition, Tajik companies held business-to-business meetings with leading enterprises from China's Xinjiang region, resulting in preliminary agreements on equipment supplies, technology transfer, and future cooperation.
In another key development, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan signed a separate cooperation memorandum with MSTN Technologies Co., Ltd., one of China's largest energy companies, laying the groundwork for expanded bilateral collaboration in the energy sector.
