The Agency for Overseas Employment under Tajikistan’s Ministry of Labour, Migration and Employment has announced that Japanese MAYA MIRAI company is inviting citizens of Tajikistan to apply for jobs in construction, agriculture, public utilities, services, as well as in the hotel and restaurant industries.
Applicants must be between 18 and 50 years old, possess conversational-level Japanese language skills, hold a certificate of vocational training, and have a professional qualification certificate, The Caspian Post reports per Tajik media.
The starting monthly salary is from $1,500, the agency said, noting that the number of available quotas has yet to be determined.
In July, the Ministry’s Migration Service launched Japanese language training courses to prepare citizens for employment in Japan. Only 60 people were admitted to the three-month program.
According to the agency, those who successfully complete the course will be registered for deployment to various sectors in Japan in 2026.
Earlier, in February, Tajik Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment Soleha Kholmahmadzoda announced that in 2024 the ministry had signed 41 labour agreements with 15 countries, including Japan.
