Sherali Kabir, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with Mrs. Catherine Smithton, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the meeting was held within the framework of the upcoming Tajik-British Mining Forum, The Caspian Post reports citing Tajik media.
During the conversation, the parties discussed issues of development of cooperation in industrial, investment, trade, economic and technological spheres.
They also discussed issues related to preparation and holding of the Tajik-British Mining Forum to be held on May 19 in London. The parties expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation and realization of mutually beneficial projects.
In general, the meeting was held in a constructive and businesslike atmosphere.
Recall that the Tajik-British Mining Forum, organized by the governments of Tajikistan and Great Britain. The event will promote investment attraction, knowledge sharing and cooperation at all stages of mining, creating mutually beneficial partnerships.
The forum aims to showcase Tajikistan’s mining potential, presenting the country’s vast mineral resources and investment opportunities in precious and strategically important minerals.
