Russia, Tajikistan Cement Partnership with 15 New Agreements

Russia and Tajikistan have solidified their close ties by signing a series of 15 intergovernmental, interstate, and interagency agreements following high-level talks in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.

The signing ceremony, attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, highlighted the deepening cooperation between the two nations, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.

Alongside the agreements, both leaders issued a joint statement reaffirming their dedication to strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Russia and Tajikistan.

The meetings on October 9 featured bilateral discussions between Putin and Rahmon as well as broader Russian-Tajik negotiations, covering a wide range of collaborative initiatives.

President Putin characterized the relationship as a "true alliance," emphasizing Moscow’s strong commitment to the partnership and its importance in regional stability and development.
