Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin has announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit Tajikistan for a state visit on October 9.
Speaking at a reception hosted by the Tajik Embassy in celebration of the country’s Independence Day, Pankin highlighted the pivotal role of both leaders in guiding bilateral relations, The Caspian Post informs via Russian media.
“The presidents of our countries set the tone for bilateral cooperation and, by their personal example, demonstrate how friendship can and must be preserved in today’s challenging world,” he said.
The deputy minister expressed confidence that President Putin’s visit will give a strong boost to the development of multilateral ties between Russia and Tajikistan and will help both countries explore new avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation.
